multi-pitch climb

Looking Glass Rock

Looking Glass Rock is a must-do for anyone seeking a big view and a bigger rappel. This three-pitch climb is a fun and approachable way to try multi-pitch climbing, with gradual sandstone ribs and wide stances that make learning easy and enjoyable. At the summit, you’ll enjoy 360-degree views of Utah’s red rock country before descending via a thrilling 140-foot free-hanging rappel through the massive wind-carved arch.

Your guide will walk you through everything from rope systems to gear management, making this a great choice for beginners with curiosity—or experienced climbers wanting to knock an iconic line off their list. It’s an unforgettable route in the heart of the desert.

Classic Desert Tower

Ancient Art

Located in the surreal landscape of Fisher Towers, Ancient Art is one of Moab’s most photographed and unforgettable climbs. This wild desert tower features engaging multi-pitch climbing, a dizzying “boardwalk” traverse, and a corkscrew summit that stands 500 feet above the desert floor.

Though rated 5.10+, the route can be aided, making it accessible to climbers comfortable at the 5.9 level. You’ll learn or apply multi-pitch systems, move over exposed terrain, and top out on one of the most iconic summits in the Southwest. Ancient Art is a rite of passage for desert climbers—and a day you’ll never forget.

Climbers should have moderate fitness and feel confident climbing 5.9 outdoors or 5.10 in a gym setting. Comfort with heights and exposure is essential. No prior multi-pitch experience required—your guide will coach you through it all.
