Dan

Dan grew up at the foot of the Wasatch Mountains in Sandy, Utah, where weekends were spent climbing rock, chasing snow, and exploring the backcountry. His passion for wild landscapes eventually led him north to Vancouver, British Columbia, where he studied Natural Resource Conservation at the University of British Columbia, blending his love of the outdoors with an interest in land stewardship.

In 2018, Dan found his way to Moab and began guiding rafting, climbing, and canyoneering trips across the desert southwest. Drawn to the remote corners of canyon country, he quickly fell in love with the quiet sandstone walls, winding rivers, and endless horizons that make the desert feel like home.

Dan holds certifications as an AMGA Single Pitch Instructor, Wilderness First Responder, and Swiftwater Rescue Technician Pro-1 through the SSI. He has also completed his Level 1 Avalanche Course through the American Avalanche Association.

When he’s not guiding, you can usually find Dan chasing waves across Mexico, Canada, and the Hawaiian Islands or rowing his raft down the Colorado River through the heart of the Grand Canyon.
